Sandra M. Boettcher, child of God, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on September 3, 2017. She was born to Vernon and Marge Rehder in Puyallup on November 24, 1946, and lived in Puyallup all of her life. Sandy married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Werner Boettcher.

She is survived by her husband Werner; her daughter Leann Boettcher, grandson Seth Klindworth (Tabitha), and great grandson Ozrik; her son Steven Boettcher and grandchildren Christian, Laurel, and Stephanie; and Steve's wife Patti and her children, Sandy's step-grandchildren, Aspen, Araya, and Archer. She is also survived by her loving brother Rev. James V. Rehder, wife Pam, and their children Mele Brown (husband Skyler Brown and their daughter Gillian) and Joshua Rehder, now serving in the Coast Guard. Sandy has many relatives in and from Minnesota, as both parents grew up in Minnesota and came from large families.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Betters (wife of Dennis Betters, still a big part of the family), and infant daughter Stacey M. Boettcher. Sandy was baptized, confirmed, and married at Peace Lutheran Church in Puyallup, as were her children. Sandy graduated from Puyallup High School in 1965 and remained active with her classmates over the years. She was a charter member of the Puyallup YMCA, where she developed many friendships. In her early married years she worked in jewelry stores, and after raising her children she worked as a part-time secretary and bookkeeper in her husband's law office. She was actively engaged with her extended family, children, and grandchildren, and was very proud of their many accomplishments. Her love for her family was unconditional. Her family was the center of her life. Sandy cared more for her family than herself.

Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 11:00am. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 214 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA 98372.
